Charlie Price has reluctantly inherited his father’s shoe factory, which is on the verge of bankruptcy. Trying to live up to his father’s legacy and save his family business, Charlie finds inspiration in the form of Lola, a fabulous entertainer in need of some sturdy stilettos. As they work to turn the factory around, this unlikely pair find that they have more in common than they realized… and discover that when you change your mind, you can change your whole world.

Aly focuses his gifts as a teacher and 25 years in theater leadership to decisive direction and expectations so the performers can feel secure. Rehearsals

ABOUT REHEARSALS

This Season we will be rehearsing shows for longer periods of time but with fewer rehearsals per week. We’ve found that this makes doing shows accessible for more people and allows people the time they need to work on lines at home.

REHEARSAL COMMITMENT

Because this show requires intricate blocking, detailed choreography, music rehearsals, and special costuming for some characters, the show will rehearse for a longer number of weeks than usual. We will rehearse for 11 weeks at an average of 5 days per week, but some characters may be needed less often. A final schedule will be determined based on people’s availability, so the schedule below is approximate. We will schedule in blocks and only call who is needed, whenever possible.

  • January 7th – March 14th: Rehearsals
  • March 9th through 14th: Tech Week Please note that during tech week, rehearsal hours are longer.
  • March 14th: Preview performance for small invited-only audience
A dance/vocal pick-up or speed-through rehearsals will be scheduled for the third and fourth show weeks, depending on the schedule of the actors & need for pick-ups.
FIRST READ-THROUGH

Sunday, January 7th from 5:30- 9pm

LIKELY REHEARSAL TIMES

NOTE: Please remember that, as stated above, this does not mean that rehearsals will take place every day of these potential days! These are simply our options! And the schedule may vary from week to week.

  • Potential rehearsal times: Sunday through Friday Evenings ideally 6pm – 9:30pm and Saturdays from either 10:00am to 2:00pm or 11:00 am to 3pm
  • Day rehearsals are possible if that better suits the actors’ schedules
  • Cue to cue will take place on the Saturday before the show opens and will be anywhere from 4 to 7 hours long during the day, depending on our needs; food will be provided. PLEASE BE SURE OF YOUR AVAILABILITY FOR THIS DAY.
  • Tech rehearsals will be longer, but will never go past 11pm
