About the Show
In this bold new adaptation of Sophocles’ renowned tragedy Antigone, playwright and composer James Nevius (Murder in the Nth Degree, ‘Ainakea, On the Nile) reimagines Thebes as a world strikingly close to our own. In a city reeling from the end of a devastating war, a new regime promises order—but when a single act of defiance threatens to unravel that fragile peace, the conflict becomes a gripping battle between personal conscience and the power of the state. Set amid surveillance, spin, and relentless messaging, Antigone asks: when the truth is controlled, who gets to decide what is right?
