A current pioneer of the emerging “Island Soul” sound\, he blends heartfelt songwriting with a modern soul edge\, carrying forward a new musical identity for Hawaiʻi.\nPohai is a rising star in Hawaiʻi’s music scene—a powerful female vocalist and soul-conscious roots singer-songwriter. Her artistry and songs are on air throughout the islands and weave her identity as a Kanaka Maoli woman into soulful expressions of sovereignty\, freedom and resilience.\nTogether\, Stephen and Pohai co-wrote Babylon\, which won the statewide Mana Maoli Song Contest\, further cementing their place as storytellers for this generation.\nThis special showcase is a close intimate experience: stripped down\, acoustic\, and deeply personal.
