SUMMARY:Maui Songwriter Rounds
DESCRIPTION:Maui Songwriter RoundsPresented with Mana’o Radio and Sara Jelley Music\n \n \n \n \n \n Thursday\, January 8\, 2025Starts at 7:30pmRun time: 2 Hours – no intermission\n \n \n \n \n \n About the Show\nAn Intimate Evening of Story and Craft: Folky Females Edition\nFeaturing Nicole Olney and Sara Jelley\n \n \n \n \n \n About the Artists\nNicole Olney is a poet\, a yogi\, and an aspiring five-string banjo witch. Born in the Mojave desert and cured in west LA\, she then found herself paddling across the pacific ocean on a surfboard looking for waves. She landed on Maui\, and discovered a wellspring of healing: sitting in her jungle yard writing solo songs on guitar. Her songs are articulate and dreamlike\, weaving seamlessly between vivid grounding imagery and illuminated questioning that hits straight to the core. Her voice carries the kind of vintage vibrato power you’d find on a dusty old country record\, and also a tender softness that leaves you with a feeling of ease.  \nSara Jelley is a indie/folk pop vocalist and songwriter and vocal coach living on Maui. Her cinematic indie pop songs sound like Sara Bareilles\, Lizzy McAlpine and Jewel\, and are aimed at inspiring listeners to be vulnerable and fully sit with and experience the entire range of our human emotions\, from anger to bliss and all that’s in between. Her music often touches on her journey through anxiety\, PTSD\, and codependency\, aiming to create a therapeutic experience for listeners.  Sara had a song recently placed on Netflix’s Selling the City and Perfect Match.\nSara’s new album\, “New Moon” is her second solo release\, and contains collaborations with many talented artists from Hawaii and beyond. New Moon is about starting fresh with clarity out of a disheartening period of stuckness\, by finding your connection to your own worthiness and your choices of how to show up as the best version of yourself with the time you have left.\n \n BUY TICKETS\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Ticket Information\nPremium Seating:\n$31.80 (large cushy front-row chairs with small tables)\nPreferred Seating:\n$25 (front row of any seating tier)\nRegular Seating:\n$26.50\nPartially-Obstructed View Seats:\n$21.20\nKeiki/Teens:\n$16\n \n BUY TICKETS\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n About the Artists:\nArtist Info coming soon\n \n BUY TICKETS\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n [events-calendar-search placeholder="Search Events" show-events="5" disable-past-events="false" layout="medium" content-type="advance"]\n \n BACK TO UPCOMING

Similar to a bass viol with six bowed strings on top\, it also includes sympathetic plucked strings behind the neck. The player bows the strings on top while plucking the strings on the back to give shimmering resonance. The Baryton will be accompanied by violin and cello from the Valencia Baryton Project.
