Maui’s Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award winning band Kanekoa is quickly becoming a global phenomenon. Powered by electric ukuleles and exotic rhythms\, these ukulele masters ride the wave of Hawaiian roots with jam band energy\, creating a sound they call Hawaiian jam-rock. For the last 25 years audiences never fail to swoon over their soulful originals and crafty covers interpreted with pure originality. The Grateful Dead’s drummer Bill Kreutzmann goes so far as to call them\, “the Hawaiian Grateful Dead.” David Hidalgo of Los Lobos says\, “These guys scare me. They are that good.” They recently graced the cover of Ukulele Magazine and were referred to as “Hawaiian Trailblazers”. Once you hear Vince Esquire lead ukulele\, you’ll know why he was invited to play with the Allman Brothers Band.\n  \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Ticket Information\nPremium Seating:\n$60 Premium (large cushy front-row chairs with small tables)\nPreferred Seating:\n$45 Preferred (front row of any seating tier)\nRegular Seating:\n$40\nPartially-Obstructed View Seats:\n$35\nFor information on our Access for All initiative\, click HERE\n \n BUY TICKETS\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n [events-calendar-search placeholder="Search Events" show-events="5" disable-past-events="false" layout="medium" content-type="advance"]\n \n BACK TO UPCOMING

He’s done session work in NY and elsewhere\, and appeared on stages in the US\, Canada\, Bermuda\, and Europe. He’s played a huge span of venues\, from Madison Square Garden to the Home Shopping Network! To support his young family\, Dickie worked in management at the NovaLine Piano Company\, ARP Instruments\, KORG keyboards\, and NED/Synclavier. Now\, he lives in Maui\, spending hours exploring his solo piano work. “In some respects\, I’ve simplified my approach\, developing loosely structured improv with little melodic themes that are really fun to play. Playing uptempo music is fun – but I also love pieces that are more contemplative.\nJeff Hellmer\, jazz pianist\, was twice named a finalist in the Great American Jazz Piano Competition. He has performed throughout the United States\, Europe\, and the Far East. A member of the Austin Jazz Hall of Fame\, he enjoyed a long career before coming to Maui as an active performer and as Director of Jazz Studies at the University of Texas at Austin. He is now active on the Maui scene as a leader and sideman in multiple venues.\nLo Wolf writes music that punches you in the gut and then kisses you on the forehead. Raw\, radiant\, real\, and rooted in feeling. A voice like smoke; songs that whisper and scream. Come along for the ride.\n  \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Ticket Information\nPremium:\n$42.40 (large cushy front-row chairs with small tables)\nPreferred:\n$31.80  (front row of any seating tier)\nRegular Seating:\n$21.20\nPartially-Obstructed View:\n$16.00\n21 years of age or older ONLY\n \n BUY TICKETS\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n [events-calendar-search placeholder="Search Events" show-events="5" disable-past-events="false" layout="medium" content-type="advance"]\n \n BACK TO UPCOMING
