While many performers focus on memorization\, blocking\, or emotional results\, true preparation creates the inner life that allows authentic\, spontaneous performances to emerge.\nIn this immersive\, hands-on workshop\, actors will explore the Meisner Technique’s approach to preparation through a practical\, step-by-step process designed to help them arrive at a scene emotionally available\, deeply connected\, and ready to respond truthfully in the moment. Rather than manufacturing emotion\, participants will learn how to cultivate an inner circumstance that supports genuine\, lived behavior under imaginary circumstances.\nThis is an active working class. Participants are asked to bring one fully memorized monologue or scene to work on throughout the workshop.
