As Queen Kaʻahumanu becomes Kuhina Nui following the death of Kamehameha I\, she is faced with profound political and spiritual decisions that will shape the future of the Hawaiian Kingdom.\nAs the kapu system falls and new influences arrive on Hawaiian shores\, the play weaves together seemingly differing perspectives to explore what is gained\, what is lost\, and what it means to lead with courage\, responsibility\, and love through times of great change.
