Similar to a bass viol with six bowed strings on top\, it also includes sympathetic plucked strings behind the neck. The player bows the strings on top while plucking the strings on the back to give shimmering resonance. The Baryton will be accompanied by violin and cello from the Valencia Baryton Project.
